Terms of Use
Terms for using Domain Intelligence public docs, API access, and related threat-intelligence data.
Who these terms cover
These terms apply to the public docs, API access, API keys, and related data provided by Pattern Recognition Ltd, trading as Domain Intelligence.
If you have a signed agreement, order form, or other written contract with Domain Intelligence, that written agreement controls where it conflicts with these terms.
Contact: contact@domainintelligence.uk.
Using the service
Use the docs, API, and data for defensive security, DNS policy enforcement, threat research, internal analysis, and related business security work. You are responsible for activity under your account and API keys.
Keep API keys secret. Do not place keys in client-side code, public repositories, URLs, logs, tickets, or screenshots.
API access
API keys may be scoped, rate limited, rotated, revoked, or suspended where needed for security, abuse prevention, service integrity, non-payment, or a breach of these terms. API routes, schemas, fields, limits, and response formats may change as the service changes.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, harm systems, send spam, run phishing, distribute malware, attack third parties, bypass access controls, overload infrastructure, scrape beyond permitted API use, or interfere with other users.
Do not resell, sublicense, publish, bulk redistribute, or make the data available as a competing feed or service unless Domain Intelligence agrees in writing.
Threat-intelligence data
Threat-intelligence data is operational signal. Use it with timestamps, source context, review state, confidence, and other evidence available to you. The data may be updated, corrected, removed, or reclassified as new information becomes available.
Send correction requests or dispute notices to contact@domainintelligence.uk.
Submitted data
Do not submit secrets, credentials, unnecessary personal data, or data you are not allowed to provide. You keep your rights in submitted data, and you give Domain Intelligence the rights needed to process it for service delivery, security, support, abuse prevention, and quality control.
Ownership
The docs, API, service design, software, schemas, datasets, and analysis are owned by Domain Intelligence or its licensors. You receive only the rights needed to use the service under these terms or your written agreement.
Third-party data and links
The service may include data derived from third-party sources or links to third-party services. Those sources and services may have their own terms, limits, and availability.
Availability and changes
Domain Intelligence aims to keep the docs and API available, but availability can be affected by maintenance, security work, provider issues, incidents, or changes to the service.
Suspension and termination
Domain Intelligence may suspend or end access for misuse, security risk, non-payment, legal risk, breach of these terms, or operation of the service. You may stop using the service at any time.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. For paid access, unless a written agreement says otherwise, Domain Intelligence's total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Domain Intelligence is not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost revenue, loss of goodwill, or loss caused by your use of threat-intelligence data outside its context.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction unless a written agreement says otherwise.
Updates
These terms may be updated as services, legal requirements, or operating details change.
